what are starfish?
Starfish are extremely colorful, varied aquatic animals that can be found in all of the world's oceans. Their bodies consist of a central disk and generally five arms. Their adult forms are generally in a radial symmetry form, with five-fold symmetry. They are mainly aquatic predators who feed on benthic invertebrates. The starfish is a truly unique and memorable animal that populates the sea with an array of vibrant colors.
what are their muscular systems like?
A starfish's muscular system consists of muscles that run along its numerous limbs. These muscles are used primarily for movement. They power the tubes along the limbs to stick on to objects in the ocean. The suction process withdraws water from the targeted area, allowing for a suction effect. It releases water to come off of objects that it sticks to, which stops the suction effect. this whole process of movement is vital to a starfish and is controlled primarily by the muscular system.
