Evolution of the Musucular system: the nine phlya
A central part of living is being able to move around to get food, to get water and to get away from predators. In order to accomplish basic taks, muscles are needed. In complex organisms muscular systems are made up of three different types of tissue while in simple animals or animals without vertebrate, movement is controlled by lever action produced by muscle fibers. The big purpose of muscles are to move around and carry out basic tasks. Movement is the result of contraction of muscles. All species of animals are different when it comes to muscles. On the side of this webpage, you will find the nine phyla from the Kingdom Animalia, which will lead you to a brief summary and an in depth of certain animal's muscular systems.
